Burnout is not just fatigue, but a state of deep physical, psychological, and emotional exhaustion that occurs as a result of prolonged stress at work. The World Health Organization has recognized burnout as an official diagnosis related to professional activity. Primary Causes of Burnout 1. Excessive Workload When the volume of tasks constantly exceeds a person's resources, chronic overexertion occurs. Working without breaks, overtime, constant deadlines, and the inability to \"switch off\" lead to the point where the body simply does not have time to recover. 2. Lack of Control and Autonomy When a person cannot influence their work schedule, the order of task execution, or decision-making, a sense of helplessness arises. The inability to influence the result and the absence of choice cause chronic stress. 3. Inadequate Compensation Burnout often occurs when efforts are not accompanied by adequate remuneration, recognition, or career growth. This is especially true in situations where a person puts their heart into work but receives only criticism or indifference. 4. Injustice and Disrespect Injustices, favoritism, unstable rules, and the absence of fair assessment all destroy trust and a sense of security. When a person feels undervalued, their motivation falls, and stress increases. 5. Lack of Support Isolation in solving complex tasks, the absence of assistance from management or colleagues, and the inability to share problems all enhance a sense of isolation. Support is a crucial buffer against stress. 6. Conflict of Values When a person's personal values conflict with corporate ones, an internal conflict arises. For example, when a person has to deceive clients, sacrifice quality for profit, or violate ethical norms, it destroys them from within. 7.
